Queer Portraiture
About This Project
I've had the idea for Queer Portraiture (working title) for a while. The purpose of this project is to share the stories of trans, non-binary, genderqueer people through photography and video interviews. The project is starting in Pittsburgh, PA at the beginning of 2023 and will expand over time to different areas over time. The stories will be shared at they are completed.
Parts of the Project

01.
Studio Session
The first part of this project is having a proper studio shoot with each participant of the project.
02.
Documentary Session
The second part of the project is a documentary session with the person at the place they love being the most.
03.
Interview Video
Each participant will be interviewed and have their story recorded during their portrait and documentary shoots. A finished video of the shoot will be shared.
04.
Community Book
The participants photos and stories will be shared in a book built around each community.
