About This Series

Started in early 2023, the Light Painting Series was a project started to get out of a creative rut. Most of the other work I do either headshots so lots of flash or fall into the realm of ambient/natural light documentary type work, both of which I love. But, I needed a project that pushed me creatively and allowed for more fun collaboration between me and the subject.

Then I stumbled onto an Instagram reel by Summer Grace Photography using a small fiber optic lamp and long exposure for light painting and I fell in love with the idea, and it's been such a fun and challenging project to shoot.
